In polite Japanese speech the prefix &#039;o-&#039; is often used before nouns, such as &#039;okuni (your country)&#039; or &#039;onamae (your name)&#039;.
However, the &#039;o-&#039; as seen in the following cases is different.
&#039;Ouchi (home)&#039;, &#039;ouma (hourse)&#039;, &#039;oyama (mountain)&#039;, &#039;otete (hands)&#039; or &#039;otsukisama (moon)&#039; are examples of Japanese baby talk.</description>
